B- Sides Live x Dogfish Head video partnerships
I’ve had the chance to work on some fun projects over the years, but this one felt especially aligned with everything I love about music, storytelling, and community. I recently partnered with Dogfish Head Craft Brewery on a series of video promos for their Grateful Dead Juicy Pale Ale.
The goal with these videos wasn’t to just “promote beer.” It was to capture a feeling. The same feeling you get when you stumble into a perfect live set, or when a song you forgot about hits at exactly the right moment. That sense of discovery, nostalgia, and connection that Deadheads know so well. Whether it’s the visual nods, the pacing, or the music choices, everything was built to reflect that loose, colorful, anything-can-happen energy.
There’s a certain rhythm to creating content like this: you’re not just highlighting the beer, you’re tapping into the culture around it. And with something tied to the Grateful Dead, that culture runs deep. So deep that The Erly even invited me into the studio to get some beer videos as they record their new album.
If you’re into the Dead, craft beer, or just enjoy seeing how music culture can translate into visual storytelling, I think you’ll get something out of these! Take a look below and let me know what you think. had a blast putting them together, and it’s always exciting to share work that feels this close to home.
